Grounding Box - Consuelo

Consuelo

For the ones carrying more than they let others see.

A ritual box for comfort, rest, remembrance, and tending to the tender parts of yourself.

Life asks a lot of us.

Sometimes more than we know how to hold.

This box was created for the tender days.
The days when your body feels heavy.
When your heart aches.
When grief, disappointment, loneliness, or exhaustion show up uninvited.

Not every season is for fixing.
Not every season is for growing.

Some seasons are simply for receiving care.

Use the items in this box as small reminders to slow down, soften, and tend to yourself with the same compassion you offer everyone else.

You deserve comfort too.

You deserve rest too.

You deserve care too.

Inside your Box

Anointing Oil

A simple ritual of care.

Place a small amount on your wrists or hands as a reminder that you are worthy of tenderness, attention, and presence. Use it during prayer, reflection, or whenever you need a moment to reconnect with yourself.

The Tea

An invitation to pause.

Prepare a warm cup and allow yourself a few moments of stillness. Notice the warmth in your hands, the aroma, and the simple act of caring for yourself. Sometimes healing begins with slowing down.

The Ritual Items

Each box includes a collection of items chosen to support the theme of your experience.

Use them as invitations to reflect, create, move, plant, remember, celebrate, or simply be present. There is no right way to engage with them. Trust yourself and return to them whenever you need.

Gratitude Anchor

A small reminder to return to the present moment.

Hold it in your hand when you need grounding, comfort, or a moment to pause. Let it remind you of something you are grateful for today, no matter how small.

Tea Light & Matches

A symbol of warmth and intention.

As you light your candle, consider what you are making space for in this moment. Let the flame serve as a reminder to slow down, breathe deeply, and be fully present with yourself.

How to Use This Box

Close-up of crumpled brown paper or fabric with textured surface and visible folds.

This is not something to rush through.
There is no perfect way to do it.
Let yourself experience it slowly.

Reflection Questions

Permission & Release

What am I carrying that feels heavy right now?

What would it look like to give myself permission to rest?

What am I ready to stop forcing or fixing?

What expectations can I release in this season?

Emotional Awareness

What emotions have been most present for me lately?

What part of my experience feels unseen or unspoken?

What have I been needing but struggling to ask for?

What is my heart trying to tell me right now?

Comfort & Connection

What brings me comfort when life feels difficult?

Who or what helps me feel safe, supported, or understood?

What memories, rituals, or practices help me feel connected to myself?

What would help me feel a little more cared for today?

Softness & Compassion

If I treated myself with more tenderness, what would change?

What do I need to hear right now?

How can I offer myself grace in this season?

What would it look like to meet myself with compassion instead of criticism?

The Soundtrack

This playlist was created to accompany the emotional landscape of this box. Songs for grief, comfort, longing, remembrance, and the quiet work of carrying on.

Some songs may help you feel seen.
Some may help you feel held.
Some may simply keep you company.

Wherever this playlist meets you, may it remind you that comfort can be found in small things:

A song. A memory. A cafecito. A moment of rest.

For now, let that be enough.

The Comfort Ritual

Put on the cozy socks.

Prepare your tea or cafecito.

Apply the face mask and settle into a comfortable place.

Take a deep breath.

Notice what your body has been carrying.
Notice what your heart has been carrying.

For many of us, comfort has always lived in simple rituals. A warm drink. A favorite blanket. A bath at the end of a long day. In many cultures, practices like baths or limpias have been used as ways to mark a transition, release what feels heavy, and return to ourselves.

Consider saving the bath salts for later this evening or the next time you need extra care.

You do not need to solve everything today.

You do not need to have all the answers.

For this moment, allow yourself to be cared for.

Let the warmth, the stillness, and the quiet remind you of something we often forget:

You deserve the same tenderness you offer everyone else.

For now, let comfort be enough.

Affirmations

I do not have to carry everything alone.

Rest is not something I have to earn.

My needs matter too.

I am allowed to slow down.

I can hold grief and hope at the same time.

I deserve comfort and care.

What I am feeling is worthy of attention.

I release the pressure to have it all figured out.

I can be gentle with myself in this season.

I am worthy of the same compassion I offer others.

I trust myself to move through this season one day at a time.

Softness is not weakness.

I am enough.

Return to This When….

  • Life feels especially heavy.

  • You need permission to rest.

  • Grief feels close to the surface.

  • You are carrying more than others can see.

  • You find yourself caring for everyone except yourself.

  • You need comfort, not solutions.

  • You feel disconnected from your body, heart, or spirit.

  • You need a reminder that your needs matter too.

  • You want to slow down and return to yourself.

  • You need a soft place to land.

Before You Go…

Not every season is for blooming.

Some seasons are for resting.
Some are for grieving.
Some are for learning how to receive the care we so freely give to others.

Whatever this season holds, be gentle with yourself.

You do not have to carry it all today.

For now, let comfort be enough.

Thank you for letting Candela be part of your becoming.

And remember — you can return to this experience whenever you need to.
There is no right number of times to begin again.
Let this be a space you come back to in seasons of grief, joy, overwhelm, celebration, numbness, softness, or release.

We’ll be here.

With cariño y sazón,
